Easter CelebrationsThursday, April 13, 2017
Although Bali is predominantly a Hindu island, it remains respectful of all other religious denominations and cultural beliefs. The hospitality industry makes a point to celebrate many different kinds of holidays including Easter weekend that is set to commence on Friday, 14th April 2016.
For followers of Christianity, Easter commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter Sunday symbolizes new life and it has become a tradition around the world for families to present each other with coloured hard boiled eggs. In recent times egg shaped chocolates and sweet treats are also a popular alternative.
Special Easter services will be held at churches around the island and some are even conducted in English in major areas of tourism such as Nusa Dua and Sanur. Christian travellers are welcome to attend to share the joy of this festive occasion. The Guest Relations Officer at each Kayumanis property will be more than happy to provide a list of English speaking churches.
