> Mr. Dimitrios Bachadakis & Ms. Alina Saleski Stayed in Villa Sukun at Kayumanis Nusa Dua 30th December 2008 ~ 6th January 2009.

”Thank you very much. Our two days were like a dream. I felt the warm hospitality from every staff member. Dinner in the villa beside the pool was really amazing. The cinnamon scented soap and lotion was a favourite thing for me. I feel full of appreciation as there is no way to describe such hospitality from the candle lit dinner, birthday gift for my husband and to arranging for my glasses to be repaired. I opened my lap top immediately upon returning home just to express my gratitude.”
> Ms. Yoko Morita Stayed in Villa Ulin at Kayumanis Ubud 9th ~ 11th January 2009.

The most impressed us was the excellent service there -- the perfect room service, the perfect breakfast, the perfect complimentary 2 hours spa. Even the dinner in their resort was a wonderful experience for us. Next time we will absolutely go to Kayumanis again. it is just amazing.”

”The Kayumanis team were really friendly, kind, polite and professional. They had the BEST SMILES that I have ever seen. The food was amazing, we had dinner and breakfast both in restaurant and in our villa, everything was really tasty. The villa was great with the long swimming pool. But I was happy to have an indoor bathroom as I am afraid of geckos and frogs.”

> Mr. Thomas Pitz & Ms. Elizabeth Tan stayed at Kayumanis Nanjing 28th September – 1st October 2008.

”Thank you very much for providing us with wonderful time. We could refresh mind and body. We could witness Ubud village and know the custom of Balinese cremation on cycling. We surprised to know that buried body is dig up, though… Accumulated tiredness was all released and I felt my body become light by Spa treatment, it was really pleasant. I have never had such a nice spa ever before. I would like to take it again. At night market, it was interested that we could eat some food that we don’t have in Japan. Lamb sate was very delicious, thank you very much for your guiding us. Candle light dinner was really fantastic. To dine with many flowers and candles was the most impressive. Of course the food was the most delicious. Wayan, Indonesian language course was interesting. I will never forget” Enak Sekali”. Terima Kasih. We made unforgettable and the best memories because of your caring with full of hospitality. Thank you very much. Yoshioka-san, thank you very much for your every response to our frequency changes of schedule. I would like to come back here, thank you.”
> Mr. Yasuhiko & Ms. Mizuki Sakaguchi who stayed in Villa Bunutan at Kayumanis Ubud in July 2008.

”We have had a wonderful stay with you all. The restaurant is very good and the service is professional. Breakfasts are very big and good. Staff members are very thoughtful in meeting all of our needs and thank you for your kindness and patience towards our language problems. But a special thanks to Endi and Djoris for their special attention. We are leaving very happy on our honeymoon.”
> Mr. Philippe Vinco & Ms. Chaterine Boulres who stayed in Villa Waru at Kayumanis Nusa Dua in July 2008.

”My husband and I recently spent 6 days at Kayumanis Ubud and we were bowled over by the wonderful service and the beautiful setting offered there. We were also impressed by the quality of the food we had at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It certainly beat the Four Seasons Sayan hands down as we had lunch there one day and we were distinctly unimpressed by it. We hope to be back again next year with more of our family and friends. Congratulations on putting together such a wonderful boutique hotel in Bali and keep up the good work.”
>Mr. & Mrs. Ken-Hui Khoo; Stayed at Kayumanis Ubud.

”We have been surprised and very happy to discover the contemporary architecture of the resort. It certainly is something exclusive. We believe that the place is a paradise for honeymooners.”
> Mr. Alant Gerard Nessim & Mr. Delalande Andre Maurice Victor stayed in Estate Danyuh at Kayumanis Jimbaran in June 2008.

”After having to wade through knee deep water past a huge waterfall that appeared outside my apartment just to get to a taxi that could not quite make it due to the worst rainstorm in Hong Kong history, it was quite a relief to arrive in Nanjing at a Kayumanis villa staffed almost with only Balinese. The nicest place on earth it is not, Nanjing's countryside (where the emperor went for his hotsprings & eternal youth) has that perpetual gray sky that has inspired some Chinese artists to paint that black/white/gray landscape, but after a couple of proper authentic Balinese massages (most of the Kayu staff are from Bali), decent food, very spacious & well designed space, perfect peace & quiet with the silence broken only by birdsong, Kayumanis is the perfect long weekend answer to a short trip in Greater China.”

”We have loved our time here. The staff service was exceptional. We really liked the way that all staff knew what we had done during the day. We were often asked if we enjoyed our trips to the volcano /Kuta etc. The villa was beautiful and the SPA treatment was wonderful. Finally, we liked the fact that there was a free mini bar with cookies and tasty nuts! We also took advantage of the chauffeur service, which was on time and friendly. Thank you for such as wonderful time.”
> Mr. Robert Ockenden & Ms. Katie Pearce Stayed at Kayumanis Jimbaran, 25th September – 1st October 2008.

“The most beautiful hotel we have ever seen! The villas have their private pool and kitchen, the all inclusive rate (mini bar, breakfast) is also very pleasant. We took a romantic interlude formula so our stay was very busy with spa, Uluwatu Tour, barbecue... the must was the candle light dinner, the most exciting experience! We also very much appreciated our stay due to the staff : always smiling, they call you by your name, our butler was so available and listening to our desires. The beach is really 5-minute close to the Kayumanis hotel and they have an agreement with Jimbaran Puri Bali hotel which have a private beach. And if you consider the villa you stay in, it was not at all a problem !”

”Our friends are living in Shanghai, teaching for a year, and found this resort early in their year. They loved it, and recommended it as a place for celebration for the reunion of 6 friends over this past Easter weekend. We were 3 couples, and during the weekend, one person celebrated a 70th birthday, and my husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. The General Manager, Mintoro, and his staff always went absolutely above and beyond our every request if we had any. The food was Asian/Fusion and exquisite. They even presented us with beautiful gourmet cakes on the 2 special occasions over the 3 nights we were there! Each couple had their own villa, providing privacy unmatched by anything we'd ever seen, and we hardly saw any other guests all weekend. The furnishings were lovely, and the decorating touches to make us feel special were evident from the mini bar stocked with our preferred beverages to the in-villa CD's of our preferred music taste. The spa staff were lovely, very well trained and professional, and I would have had more treatments, but ran out of time. We took a privately guided 1 day tour of the Nanjing area which was arranged by the resort, which was very worthwhile and good value. Bottom line, if you want to feel special and pampered, this unique property delivers beyond expectation. Check out their website, and believe what it says. I would love to go back someday, or visit one of their properties in Bali. Absolutely divine. Thanks again Mintoro, for helping us to create wonderful memories! Carolyn “

“Kayumanis pride itself of their service and they should. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty and always addressed by your name. Life just floats at Kayumanis. The villas are fabulous (modern and traditional) and full of small details that make the difference. Took once their bicycle tour on the rice fields (absolutely a must!!) and at middle of the tour our Kayumanis experts brings up magically 2 c old towels from his backpack!! Food is very good especially the Thai food. Their staff will really make sure you have a fantastic stay in Ubud.”

“To the Kayumanis Management: We like to express that we could enjoy a memorable holiday in a beautiful villa. Pampered by a more than friendly staff. There was nothing we were not satisfied with. Over all many reasons to come again.”

“We (a couple from CA) were planning a two week trip to Bali, and our travel agent recommended a choice of Kayumanis and another upscale-but-not-outrageously-expensive Ubud property. We choose Kayumanis and am I ever glad! The experience begins when Sunarga and Akiko greet you by your first name the moment you pull up at the open air reception pavilion, preceding their greeting by either "Ibu" (Mrs.) or "Bapak" (Mr.). Get used to it - it's totally charming and the staff will greet you like this whenever they see you. You come to understand that what we came to call "The Bwana Syndrome" can set in rather quickly under conditions of such personalized luxury. Some other highlights - the fabulously appointed pool villa, the outdoor shower, gorgeous landscaping, and, because we were "long-stay" guests, a fabulous barbeque (of absolutely anything it is possible to barbeque) cooked to order in our villa, a lovely brunch prepared especially for us and served in our villa (always a meal option here), and a pair of monogrammed Kayumanis robes presented to us at departure. How can I describe the sense of pampering, the knowledge that our personal butler was there at our behest, the somewhat awkward but very endearing service at the restaurant overlooking the scenic Ayung River gorge, the certainty that we will return as soon as possible? I guess I just did!”

”It was THE destination that I picked to go with my husband for our 8th wedding anniversary. We were initially praying under our breath that there would be someone to help us with the immigration cos that's ALWAYS been the downside of holidaying in Bali (It's our fifth time). That's why we opted for the package that includes the priority immigration assistance. Love the place but dread the process, our lengthiest record was 90minutes to get through immigration. But it went through without a hitch. Off we go on the van with the usual bottled water and wet towels. Had to change to another villa after the first nite cos a rooster from a residential compound next to our villa was doing it's "job" WHOLE nite long, on and off.
They did it without any complaints. Not their fault. Service was great. Breakfast served in the villa was fantastic. Vast choices to choose from the nite before. Their candlelight dinner was MARVELOUS. I've seen the picture from a previous helpful reviewer but it did not do the actual ambience justice. Had to see it in person. WE chose the Indonesian 6 course meal instead of the Western and boy were we ever satisfied. We've honestly never eaten better Indonesian food ANYWHERE...It was that good. Puts the food at The Legian to shame, which is their biggest down side, $$ but not good at The Legian. Wine that came with the meal in Kayumanis under the moonlight was good. Service at the Kayumanis is fantastic. But I think we'll try someplace else next time cos it's a bit too isolated/quiet. We prefer to be very near to the beach since we love to hear the waves hitting on the shore. We think we prefer the Seminyak area which is a gorgeous place for witnessing sunsets with a tequila on hand. Nothing beats the sound of waves hitting the shore.

“Outstanding place, everything is first class here...We stayed here for 5 nights as an ending of our honeymoon trip. It was a very special experience. The place is great, staff is outstanding, the villas are excellent, private pool wonderful, food excellent! The beachclub was ok, Nusa Dua is a weird place, only tourists, but after 2 weeks touring Bali we spend most of our time at the villa just relaxing, so we didn't mind at all! In short, Kayumanis is the best place I've ever been!”

“Our second visit confirmed that the staff put this luxurious getaway in a class of its own. Their impeccable, but warm and sincere service with attention to every detail is second to none. Each villa is spacious, elegant and completely private. Complimentary breakfasts are outstanding and so is the pastry chef. Going back again with friends in March. Total indulgence!”

“Thank you very much for your hospitality. The most memorable thing was that all staffs are openhearted with us. It was great thing that we could feel real local people such as Sunarga-san and Subagia-san who took us trekking, and whom we communicated with when they passed by us on the pathway. Wayan-san, Budani-san, the male trainee waiter, and the Chef. It was a really wonderful restaurant with delicious food and beautiful view. Made-san who served us during candle light dinner was kind and we could spend comfortable time. Gede-san who drove us lives near from Kayumanis, doesn’t he? Staffs that cleaned our room have nice smiles. And Akiko-san who is Japanese made us feel calm in many ways. It was good for us to have your explanation when we arrived at Kayumanis. I speak only Japanese, but it was really nice that we could communicate with many staffs. We made wonderful memory in Bali at the 1st time stay. Thank you very much. We would like to stay next time we have chance.”

“From the nest day, we started working, and during this weekend we are trying to put in order photos and brochures of Bali. We remind enjoyable time as we see photos. This time, we were worry about our parents because it was their 1st time to stay abroad for a week, but Yoshioka san and all staffs’ warm service helped us. We very appreciated it. Candle light dinner and lovely anniversary cake! We are really appreciated it. (I regret I didn’t ask his name who made rose by his hand). And Sukarja-san who took us to Picnic Lunch! He guided us to wonderful places such as Tirta Empul, Coffee Plantation, Kintamani (sun shows up at this time and it was superb view!) and we made new memories in Bali. We were so satisfied with delicious sandwiches, beer and incredible view but there was nothing impressive more than that we could feel the Balinese daily life when we stop by Sukarja-san’s house. Thank you very much. At last, we give our gratitude to Yoshioka-san. It is because of Kayumanis and Yoshioka-san that we could take our parents with us. There is nothing better present than this memory. Really really thank you. And see you next time.”

“We love our honeymoon here! The villa was absolutely stunning and the privacy was perfect! What made this place exceptional was the quality of service. They really try to make your feel at home there and every request was taken seriously and executed with charm. You not only have your butler service but really the whole staffs as each and every person there takes the effort to make your stay memorable.
