Zhanyuan Garden is a sprawling garden whose beauty had captivated emperor Qianlong prompting him to name it after a famous and romantic Qing Dynasty poem entitled “Standing in the Garden as if in Heaven”.
This remarkable site is home to the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Museum and enchanting Chinese performing arts including amusing theatrical plays, music performances played on traditional musical instruments, and occasional displays of acrobatics.
